Can't find a song you're looking for? Fret not as there are ways to get it into Groovy Labs.
You can commission creation of maps for your favorite songs to so called mappers. One such person is Joetastic, one of the best mappers out there, who I have a pleasure of collaborating with. Reach out to him directly and make sure to mention that Groovy Labs referred you:
There are other mappers who can do it too. You can find them on Discord servers dedicated to song mapping commissions:
If you can't or don't want to go a paid route, you can create the maps yourself by utilizing this AI tool:
It can usually produce quite playable maps. Human-made maps would most likely be better but from my experience, the BeatSage-generated ones are good enough to have fun.
One issue to keep in mind is that using YouTube video link directly in BeatSage hasn't been working for a while now. You can upload a song file directly (an MP3 or OGG) if you have one; if you don't I'd recommend another tool, y2mate, it lets you grab audio from any YouTube video:
One tip for using BeatSage is to configure it to use the V2 Flow model, rather than the default one (V2) but you could play around with both to see which one you prefer for a particular song:
Finally, once you download the map (a ZIP archive), you'd need to go to BeatSaver:
Create an account there and you can upload maps. Then they will show up in search results within Groovy Labs. You can create your own playlists too.
Just make sure that you truthfully select the appropriate option when uploading a map, indicating that you used an AI tool; otherwise you most likely get banned quickly:
Have fun mapping and playing your favorite songs in Groovy Labs!
